Hurricane Clean Up Efforts

3-Day Post-Hurricane Community Collaboration Cleanup

Present by Water Warrior Alliance

In the wake of recent hurricane destruction, Water Warrior Alliance is leading a three-day community-wide cleanup effort from October 25th, the 26th, and 27th. Our mission in this effort is to unite residents, businesses, and volunteers in a collaborative initiative to restore and revitalize our local areas.

The cleanup will focus on key regions in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, including hard-hit locations like Dunedin, Clearwater, Indian Rocks Beach, and Redington Shores, extending south to Downtown St. Pete, as well as Downtown Tampa and Ruskin. Each region will have dedicated groups overseeing logistics, coordinating volunteers, and managing the resources necessary to ensure smooth operations.

Water Warrior Alliance is kicking off a series of Zoom calls starting Tuesday, October 15, to discuss our upcoming cleanup efforts across Tampa Bay. The zoom meetings will be held weekdays at 2 PM through Thursday, October 24, to prepare for our first potential cleanups on October 25th, 26th, and 27th. We are moving forward with organizing staggered events throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

As we work together to clean up our environment, we’ll also be supporting volunteers with prepared food donations and distributing event T-shirts featuring our “Pollution Patrol” slogan. Businesses have the chance to sponsor these shirts, gaining visibility while contributing to the cause.

The event will culminate with a grand finale at Redington Beach on October 27th, complete with media coverage and special activities to showcase the incredible work accomplished. This is more than just a cleanup—it's a community celebration of our shared strength and determination to rebuild. We invite everyone to join us in this vital effort to restore our beautiful coastal regions. Together, we can make a lasting difference!
