Join Water Warrior Alliance and partners for the St. Petersburg Ocean Sweep, a large-scale cleanup event to remove trash from waterways, shorelines, and stormwater outfalls. Open to volunteers, divers, boaters, and environmental groups, this event promotes marine conservation through action, education, and community engagement.

Event Highlights

☀️ First Light – Cleanup begins across Pinellas County & surrounding areas
🌊 12:00 PM – Event Opens to Public (Check-in, sponsor booths, eco-activities)
⚖️ 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM – Trash Weigh-In (Sorting & awards categories)
🍽️ 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM – Free Lunch for all volunteers & teams
🏆 3:30 PM – Awards Ceremony (Trophies for top teams)
🎟️ 4:30 PM – Raffle Drawing & Closing Remarks

  • Trash Drop-Off Location: Last dock of the first row at SkyBeach Hotel & Marina (dock with ramp)

Over the Years, the Ocean Sweep Trash Collection Tournaments helped recover tons of debris from the Tampa Bay area (photos below). Become a part of the solution to plastic pollution and join The Water Warrior Alliance in removing several tons of debris from St. Pete.
